1980s safety-album page

c. 1980s

Description

Page of a 1980s Angang safety-work photo album, each photograph mounted with a typed caption strip; from a private family collection. This page: the twin clock-towered main gate of Angang, red flags flying, cyclists and a sedan on the avenue between the gatehouses; the caption notes that workers coming on and off shift could read the safety-and-hygiene rules posted at the gate and hear safety bulletins over the broadcast system — safety as the city's daily soundtrack.
